Most pesticides have well defined uses by the time registration has commenced. Very often however there is little or no knowledge of national crop protection needs. OAC have wide experience in the efficacy and crop safety field. We are able to match the compound with the local market needs and also to explore other uses, especially that of mixtures with related compounds. OAC can advise on suitable means of testing new products or mixtures starting with initial screening in glasshouse or field screen situations. Successful performance can be interpreted as potential label recommendations from which national trial programmes are designed. We would monitor progress through such trials and eventually be able to generate the necessary efficacy overview for the UK or EEC authorities. |
| 1. Glasshouse Screening with any new product, initial screening within the glasshouse gives simple answers on efficacy and crop safety. |
2. Crop screens in the field enable us to begin to evaluate crop safety on a wide variety of species. |
